We specialize in piling and temporary docks. Our piling docks are constructed out of steel with steel pilings driven into the lake or river bottom. These docks are a great solution to not have to take your dock in and out in the spring and fall. Docks can be decked with treated pine decking or full PVC decking. If you are in a location where a seasonal dock makes more sense, we can help design and install a layout that fits your needs.
Permanent Docks are a great alternative to a seasonal dock. These docks are built with steel pilings. Piling size will depend on location, depth and bottom conditions. Our dock frames are built out of steel as well to withstand the harsh Michigan winters. These docks are meant to stay in the water year round. With Michigan not allowing “decks over water” board walks are a great solution to have a waterfront deck built for entertaining on your lakefront. These board walks are built with steel pilings and steel frames to prevent them from sinking. These are usually built in areas where there is a lot of ground water. By driving steel pilings in behind a seawall, this prevents the pilings from being pushed up by ice like a wood timber would. Boardwalks can be decked with treated pine or full PVC decking. Pilings can be driven with our vibratory hammers or air hammers on smaller inland lakes. We use steel pipe so it can be stacked and welded to achieve the appropriate depth. Our docks and lifts sit on top of the pilings to make a sturdy structure. We can also sleeve steel piling for spring piles.
